Corner Broom Closet – A broom closet is a space to store basic cleaning materials. It is an effective way to keep these items for the home in a designated area so that they can be obtained in a moment. However, many interior are not design with a corner broom closet. If this is something you want to add to your current home, there are some steps you need to take to build a sturdy and easily accessible broom closet.
With simple carpentry, there is no ground that you cannot have a broom closet in just a few hours of constant activity. Measure from the floor to the ceiling at the corner where the corner broom closet is to be built. This will be the length to cut the 2 x 4 uprights that will be the frame for the closet area. Make sure that this measure is as accurate as possible. Place the first bolt flush against the pre-existing wall.
Wide edge of the beam should be flush with the wall. The pin itself will provide the mounting area of the cabinet door hinges. Hang the hinges and the installation of the corner broom closet door. Once the door can be placed the next beam, locate only beyond where the outer edge of the door in the “closed” position. (This stud should be far enough from the door to allow the door to close, but not enough to provide a sensitive gap).
