Teal Rug Decorations
Teal rug unattractive mat on the floor does not have to ruin your interior plans. If you’re stuck with carpets that you cannot change either because you rent or have no money in your budget for new floors, you can get around by decorating choices that pull your eyes upwards. Another option is to hide the carpet temporarily until you or your landlord can put in a new one.
Paint the walls a color you like and do not crash too much with the floor. For example, if you have bright teal rug, choose a neutral color like gray or white on the walls instead of a color like red or yellow. Hang the curtains in your windows that fit into the frame. You want to avoid curtains that reach the floor, as they will pull the eye back to the carpet. Hang visually striking, large pieces of art or framed posters from your favorite movies on the wall to keep your eye focused on the walls, not the floor. Another option is to hang a collage of smaller pieces of art or photographs over a wall. A large mirror can draw focus away from the floor as well.
Coordinate your textiles with the carpet color. Your goal is to have the teal rug unnoticed, so avoid having pillows or blankets on the couch that crashes with it. If the carpet is brown, look for tan or khaki blankets or pillows. Conceal large areas of the carpet with the carpet area. Choose carpets that are at least 5 by 7 meters and coordinate any way with the carpet. Arrange your furniture to cover parts of the carpet that are particularly worn or ugly. If you have inherited a stained, dirty carpet, place your sofa and other living room furniture over the most colored areas.
